Şener Üşümezsoy gets into an argument on live broadcast: "Oh, enough already"
Seismologist Prof. Dr. Şener Üşümezsoy drew attention during a live broadcast on CNN Türk due to an argument that broke out while he was evaluating the Sındırgı earthquake. Following persistent questions from Serkan Fıçıcı, Üşümezsoy became agitated, creating tension in the studio.
Prof. Dr. Şener Üşümezsoy made statements regarding the Southern Marmara fault line and the faults threatening Istanbul. Üşümezsoy stated, "The Southern Marmara fault can produce earthquakes between 6.5 and 7.0. The faults over Çınarcık have ruptured five times in the past. The Sarıgöl - Bandırma fault, meanwhile, poses a danger to Istanbul."
During the Q&A session, journalist Serkan Fıçıcı's persistent questions regarding the earthquake expectations in Istanbul caused the tension in the program to rise.
TENSE MOMENTS ON LIVE BROADCAST
Üşümezsoy replied, "I have so many earthquake videos. You haven't even watched one of them, yet you've come here as a guest on the program." However, when Fıçıcı persisted with his questions, Üşümezsoy continued his reaction, saying, "It would be better if you weren't here at all. There are 10 million people watching us here. But you are taking up my time and breaking my connection with the people." As the argument continued, Üşümezsoy's angry outburst of "Oh, enough already" drew attention.

Following the tension, the program's host, Göksu Öngören Özgür, decided to take a commercial break. When the program resumed, it was observed that Üşümezsoy was no longer in the studio.
