Singer Serdar Ortaç, who was sentenced to house arrest along with Mehmet Ali Erbil as part of an operation into illegal betting advertisements, has returned to the stage.
Ortaç, who had 18 concerts canceled during the sentencing period and suffered a loss of approximately 25 million TL, appeared before his fans again at a concert held at a venue in Istanbul.
While the famous singer expressed his happiness at returning to the stage after days away, he is set to appear before a judge on December 24 as part of the illegal betting investigation.
Mehmet Ali Erbil, who is being tried in the same case, will testify on December 30. The pair faces up to 3 years in prison.
During his stage performance, Ortaç thanked both his fans and the friends who supported him during the process, saying, “We learn from our mistakes, life goes on.”
