Following footage shared on social media platforms yesterday, which was published with the caption 'In a luxury restaurant owned by a foreigner in Istanbul, they wore military uniforms to perform and serve,' 3 people, including the person in the military uniform, were detained.

In footage shared on social media yesterday, a person in a military uniform was seen working as a waiter. The Istanbul Police Department launched an investigation following these images. It was determined that the footage was filmed in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. Police teams went to the establishment and detained the foreign national Y.J., who was serving in a military uniform, the business owner A.K., and the business manager A.G.
The 3 individuals were taken to the police station, and proceedings were initiated against them for the crime of "Insulting the Turkish Nation, the Republic, and the Institutions and Organs of the State."
On the other hand, deportation proceedings have been initiated for foreign nationals named M.I., A.R., and H.M.Y.A., who were determined to be working without residence permits and without social security insurance at the establishment.
Furthermore, the establishment's Tourism Operation Certificate has been revoked.
