CHP Üsküdar District Chairman İbrahim Çağlar Atalar announced on his social media account that Sevinç İnönü, the wife of the late Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) Chairman Erdal İnönü, has joined the CHP.
Atalar stated the following:
"From our roots to the future, we are one big family! Sevinç İnönü, the esteemed wife of our former Chairman Prof. Erdal İnönü—a true social democrat and respected scientist who added great value to our political life with his kindness and wisdom—became a member of our party today.
We, along with our District Executives, Municipal Council Deputy Speaker, and Deputy Mayor, pinned the party badge on Sevinç İnönü, who joined her political home to support the democracy revolution and the presidential candidacy process of our Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu."
