Artist Şevval Sam issued a statement asserting that she maintains her stance on social issues. Stating that she has always shown a clear position regarding the rights of women, children, and animals, Sam expressed her surprise at the comments made in recent days. Emphasizing that focusing on the reactions of celebrities, especially on social media, overshadows the core problem, the artist stated that society's challenges should be approached with a focus on solutions.
Sam noted that she waited a few days to express herself correctly. She explained that the reason she refused to speak that night was that she did not find the setting appropriate. Stating, "In the face of painful news coming one after another, a few sentences uttered just to brush it off would be disrespectful to the pain suffered by the victims," Sam underscored that such serious issues should be discussed on solution-oriented and transformative platforms, not in tabloid environments.
'I DO NOT HAVE THE SLIGHTEST DOUBT'
Stating that some individuals have been manipulating the masses for a few days for the sake of populism, Sam noted that this serves no purpose other than pitting people against each other. Pointing out that this process is far from a solution, the artist said that, on the contrary, she believes there should be a serious discussion on how to end the suffering through collective effort.
While emphasizing that she has felt her social responsibilities in her heart to this day and has done her part at every opportunity, Şevval Sam stated that public figures should focus more on solving structural problems.
