Şeyma Subaşı, whose name was mentioned in a wide-ranging drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and against whom an arrest warrant was issued, has been at the center of public attention in recent days. Although the social media influencer continued to post promotional content throughout the day, she felt the need to make a brief statement following the backlash.

In a statement made via social media, Subaşı indicated that she felt the need to address the news reports about her. Stating that she is currently abroad, Subaşı said she would provide a more detailed explanation upon her return to Turkey:

“I feel the need to make a statement regarding the news about me today. I am currently abroad. I will return to my country shortly. I will be able to make a more detailed statement when I return.”
