Sezgin Tanrıkulu's 'PM statement' rebellion against Kılıçdaroğlu: It is shameful, it is a mental blackout

Tanrıkulu reacted to the statement published by the CHP Headquarters regarding the date of the Party Assembly meeting, saying, "It is shameful; it is a mental blackout. This method, this language, and this understanding are unacceptable. Whoever is giving this advice is wrong. No one has the right to reduce an institutional party to this state."

Sezgin Tanrıkulu made evaluations regarding the statement published by the CHP Headquarters concerning the date of the Party Assembly meeting.

Tanrıkulu used the following expressions:

"We are going through extraordinary times. We do not want to speak impulsively; however, seeing certain demands regarding myself, remaining silent should not be interpreted as acceptance.

'CHP General Presidency' is written at the bottom of the letter, but there is no signature. It is unclear who it is addressed to, and the addressees are the party assembly members; that is, the Party Assembly members, including myself.

Such a letter cannot be written institutionally. How did you write it? To whom did you write it?

It is stated that the date of the Party Assembly meeting cannot be determined on the grounds that the letter regarding the assignments of the party assembly members has not yet been received from the relevant public institution.

From whom are we going to go and receive this notification? Are we going to go to the enforcement office? Is this the institutional understanding? Is this how things have been run in the party until today?

There is an unlawful court decision at hand. A process contrary to law and justice is being operated. However, the addressee of this is not the deputies or the party assembly members. The addressee of this is the CHP Headquarters, the institutional identity of the party.

The relevant institution sends its letter there and says, 'These are the PM members before November 4'; afterwards, the party's boards do what is necessary.

As Sezgin Tanrıkulu, am I going to go to the enforcement office in Ankara and say, 'Here you go, will you give me the notification?' This approach does not suit a deep-rooted and institutional party like the CHP.

It is shameful; it is a mental blackout. This method, this language, and this understanding are unacceptable. Whoever is giving this advice is wrong. No one has the right to reduce an institutional party to this state."
