The organization known as "Peygamber Sevdalıları" (Lovers of the Prophet), which was established by Hezbollah and is known for its proximity to HÜDA PAR, hung banners reading 'Long live Sharia' on city walls, streets, and overpasses in Diyarbakır. The foundation has also organized Siyer (life of the Prophet) competitions in schools across 71 provinces, which were approved by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and modeled after ÖSYM exams.

DESCENDANTS OF SHEIKH SAID

In a video shared by a profile named Diyarbakır Peygamber Sevdalıları Association, it is seen that banners reading, "Sharia is justice, truth, and freedom. Long live Sharia!" and "May our thousands of lives and thousands of heads be sacrificed" were unfurled. The post also included the statement, "The descendants of the martyr Sheikh Said shouted the loud voice of Sharia from the walls of Amed today. We also say 'Labbayk' (Here I am) to this call with all our might. Long live Sharia!"

The Mustazaf-Der, the civil society wing of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, was involved in the establishment of the Peygamber Sevdalıları Foundation. The Peygamber Sevdalıları Platform, which was formed by the coming together of Umut Kervanı, İhya-Der, and dozens of other reactionary organizations following the 'Respect for Our Prophet Rally' organized by Mustazaf-Der in Diyarbakır on February 12, 2006, in the wake of the 2005 Danish cartoon crisis, entered a foundation process in 2018.

CALLS FOR JIHAD AND KURDISTAN FROM THE PRESIDENT

The foundation's board of directors changed with a congress held on October 17, and Mehmet Beşir Şimşek became the new chairman. According to previous media reports, Şimşek also serves as the deputy chairman of the Union of Scholars and Madrasas, which is chaired by Enver Kılıçarslan, the former Iran representative of Hezbollah, and which operates illegal madrasas in the east.

Şimşek also uses the title 'Mela/mele', which refers to Kurdish religious scholars who serve as unofficial imams in regions such as the east and southeast. He even uses the name Mela Beşir Şimşek on his social media account. Şimşek frequently calls for jihad.

Participants of the 8th Scholars Meeting held in Diyarbakır in October 2023, which was attended by figures from various countries, demanded that Kurdish be an official language. Speaking to Rûdaw there, Şimşek said, "We want Kurdish to be a language of education just like Turkish. Legally, it should be this way. We say that Kurdish should be the second official language alongside Turkish. This must be legally recognized. In the past, during the Ottoman era, there was a geography called Kurdistan. This issue must be accepted."

MEB GAVE THE GREEN LIGHT, ENTERED SCHOOLS

The Peygamber Sevdalıları Foundation, established by Hezbollah, entered schools with the support of the Ministry of National Education, just like similar reactionary structures. The foundation applied to the MEB to organize a competition titled "Read Him, Live Him" in primary and secondary schools. Halil İbrahim Topçu, the Director General of Secondary Education, approved the permit for this competition. The competition on February 11 was held in schools affiliated with the MEB in 71 provinces.

It was stated that 1,300 different prizes, including tablets, bicycles, and quarter gold coins, would be awarded in the exam, and the 5 people with the best scores, 2 of whom are students, will be sent on Umrah. The exam was held in 4 categories in a format similar to the exams organized by ÖSYM. According to the information published on the foundation's website, the categories were determined as follows:

Category 1: (4th and 5th-grade students)

Category 2: (6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students)

Category 3: High School Students (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades) and those who are not in formal education but were born in 2008 or later

Category 4: Other (Outside the specified educational statuses)
