Sharp response to Haluk Bayraktar, who targeted IMM President İmamoğlu: Emphasis on March 31!

Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar, the brother of Selçuk Bayraktar, who is the son-in-law of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, reacted harshly to allegations that jet fuel was provided by Baykar following the imposition of restrictions on 54 product groups in trade with Israel, and targeted IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu. Addressing İmamoğlu, Bayraktar had said, "Stop unleashing your leashed dogs."

"I AM ADDRESSING İMAMOĞLU"

Haluk Bayraktar claimed that the allegation in question was put forward by an IMM employee who is part of the strategy team managing İmamoğlu's communication campaigns, and said the following: 

"For us, there is no honor of the ego, there is the honor of the work you do. The slanders you cast do not leave a trace on us even as much as a speck of dust. Our nation and the people of Gaza know our stance well. I looked to see who the vile person was who slandered us by saying we sell jet fuel to Israel. I saw that he was on the strategy team managing the IMM President's communication campaigns. He writes articles saying 'Alevis should also have a PKK' and glorifies the DHKP-C. I am addressing Ekrem İmamoğlu, who feeds these PKK members: Stop unleashing your leashed dogs. If you have anything to say other than lies, say it to our faces like a man, and we will give you the answer."

Following these statements, the IMM responded to Bayraktar.

"THIS NATION TAUGHT YOUR EVIL MIND A LESSON ON MARCH 31"

The following was stated in the statement made from the municipality's official Twitter account:

"It has been observed that the social media platform X post by the person named Haluk Bayraktar contains lies and slanders directed at the IMM and our President, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Both personal and institutional legal processes will be initiated against the user named Haluk Bayraktar due to these baseless allegations.

We are not surprised that those who do not refrain from slander and plots even during the month of Ramadan continue the same evils during the holiday. This individual and his likes use the malice and hatred within them to polarize society by spreading disinformation on social media.

This nation taught your evil mind a lesson on March 31, and it will continue to do so."
