In an incident that took place recently at a women's clothing store in the Merkez neighborhood of Arnavutköy, a woman who came to the front of the store spent minutes selecting and admiring the products displayed outside. The woman, who stole the items she liked by putting them into the backpack she was carrying, walked away from the store as if nothing had happened. Store operator Nazmi Kaya said, “The incident happened around 16:00 in the afternoon. We were a bit busy inside. A person passing by came, first tried the product by holding it up to herself, and then stole it. We were busy with other customers inside. We are new merchants here, but we realized that the thief had come and looked at the store before. I wish she had come and asked for it instead of stealing. We expect her to come and apologize to us. She acts very comfortably. She acts as if she had made a payment inside and is choosing products outside,” he said.
