Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel announced that she has resigned from the CHP. In her statement, Gürzel claimed that she had been subjected to threats and stated, "I would also like it to be known that I have been supported and valued only by the Justice and Development Party and Nationalist Movement Party council members, and most importantly, by the people of Beykoz."

Köseler used the following expressions in his message:
"A person from Beykoz never betrays another from Beykoz. Our bond is strong. Our stance is a matter of morality, after all. I hope no one stoops to using the filth of those who set up this conspiracy..."
