She had wished mercy upon the FETÖ leader: Decision reached regarding journalist Aysın Komitgan
An investigation was launched into Aysın Komitgan, who announced the death of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen by using the word "mercy." The journalist, who was taken into custody, was released under judicial control.
Aysın Komitgan, Editor-in-Chief of the news site "Bursa'da Bugün", which broadcasts in Bursa, appeared before the judiciary after sharing the news of the death of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen on social media by "wishing him mercy."
Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to these statements, Komitgan was summoned to the Provincial Police Department to provide her statement.
After the procedures at the Counter-Terrorism Branch, the journalist was referred to the courthouse and sent to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace by the prosecutor's office with a request for "judicial control." The judgeship ruled for the implementation of a judicial control decision for Komitgan in the form of a signature obligation and a travel ban.

JUDICIAL CONTROL DECISION
Komitgan, who is required to sign in at designated dates throughout the investigation process, was also issued a travel ban. The investigation by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the incident is ongoing.

An investigation had been launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against journalist Aysın Komitgan for "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" after the statements she used while reporting the death of the FETÖ ringleader on the morning program she hosts on an online television channel yesterday were examined.
