She wore the crown and became a doctor: Miss Turkey winner assigned to Bingöl
Miss Turkey 2024 winner İdil Bilgen, a medical school graduate, holds both the beauty crown and the title of doctor. Assigned to Bingöl in the Ministry of Health's mandatory state service lottery, Bilgen emphasized that despite criticism on social media, she will continue her medical career by focusing on cancer research.
Miss Turkey 2024 winner and Koç University medical school graduate İdil Bilgen has been assigned to Bingöl in the 118th Term Mandatory State Service (DHY) lottery held by the Ministry of Health.

The 24-year-old İdil Bilgen, who was chosen from among 20 finalists to receive the title of Turkey's most beautiful woman, wore her queen's crown in recent days.
Bilgen, who faced numerous negative criticisms on social media, responded with the following words:
''By bringing all of these together, women like this participate in very important social responsibility projects for Miss World. They promote these and represent their countries in this way. I also have research on cancer. I already want to specialize in cancer. Therefore, I applied because I thought I could represent myself successfully. I received such a result. I am very happy, and I am very proud to carry this title.
Before being chosen as Miss Turkey, I had the title of physician. I still participated here as a physician, and this is definitely my first title. I will carry this with pride throughout my life, throughout my profession. I think the title of Miss Turkey is also a very meaningful, very important title. I am very proud to carry it. I think combining the two is not a problem at all; on the contrary, I think it is a very beautiful whole."
On the other hand, according to a report by T24, it has emerged that the 24-year-old young doctor was assigned to the Bingöl Yayladere District Community Health Center.
