The General Directorate of Coastal Safety (KEGM) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has announced that ship traffic in the Bosphorus has been temporarily suspended in both directions due to a cargo ship experiencing a rudder failure.

In a post shared on the General Directorate of Coastal Safety's social media account, it was stated: "Ship traffic in the Bosphorus has been temporarily suspended in both directions. For the 64-meter-long cargo ship named BRABUS, which experienced a rudder failure at the northern entrance of the Bosphorus while en route from Trabzon to Bandırma, our pilot, our KURTARMA-10 tugboat, and our KEGM-8 fast rescue boat were immediately dispatched to the scene."
