Shocking detail in Kağıthane fallen police officer investigation: Turabi is also in the indictment!

During an operation carried out in Kağıthane on August 25, 2023, police officer Hakan Telli was martyred as a result of fire opened by suspects. In the investigation launched following the attack, it was determined that the bullets that struck the police officer were fired from a weapon that is not legally manufactured in Turkey.

Following this development, a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau.

UP TO 22 YEARS IN PRISON REQUESTED FOR 43 DEFENDANTS

As a result of the investigation, an indictment was prepared against 43 people regarding the unauthorized procurement of weapons and ammunition. Prison sentences of up to 22 years and 6 months were requested for the defendants for the crimes of "unauthorized importation, manufacturing, transportation, and sale of firearms and ammunition."

TURABİ ÇAMKIRAN DETAIL IN THE INDICTMENT

One of the striking details in the indictment concerns Turabi Çamkıran, known to the public from the Survivor competition. It is alleged that Çamkıran procured an unlicensed weapon for his girlfriend, T.A.A.

The file contains information stating that defendant Mevlüt Şeker is listed as the "seller," Turabi Çamkıran as the "provider," and T.A.A. as the "buyer."

SAVED AS 'TURBO TURBO'

In the seized digital materials of defendant Mevlüt Şeker, it was determined that the person registered as "TURBO TURBO" was Turabi Çamkıran. The correspondence reflected in the indictment included findings that Çamkıran had messaged Şeker regarding a weapon.

It was stated that in a message Turabi sent to Şeker, he said, "Don't forget my girl's package, King; we will leave the package with you when we go on the 15th, but keep it with you always," to which Şeker replied, "The package is easy."

It was revealed that Çamkıran, who was determined to have arrived in Turkey, sent a message to Şeker from another number saying, "Save the bride's number, King; I will most likely write to you from that one," and Şeker replied, "Okay King, this number of mine will be on tomorrow."

In another conversation that entered the investigation file, it was noted that Şeker said, "How should I get that thing of yours to you? Should I bring the thing?" and Çamkıran gave the following response:

"Okay, you're the best. Don't enter the lobby with the package, there is a search. I'll take it on myself, they don't search me. I gave their chiefs a hard time, asking why they search people every day."
