Shocking testimonies in the Furkan Foundation investigation! Allegations of 'internal court' and 'falaka'...

New testimonies have emerged in the case file following the operation conducted in 6 provinces on August 19 as part of the investigation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the operation by the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch, 56 suspects, including Alparslan Kuytul and his wife Semra Kuytul, were detained, and 35 people were arrested.

The testimonies in the investigation file include allegations regarding the pressure and control mechanisms the organization is claimed to have established over its members, in addition to its external activities.

ALLEGATIONS OF "ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE" AFTER IRAN VISIT

According to the allegations in the file, more than 10 people in the core cadre of the organization visited Iran in 2013 for approximately 20 days. It is claimed that an internal control system based on the concept of "absolute obedience" was established within the organization following this visit.

ALLEGATIONS THAT MEMBERS WERE FOLLOWED

Within the scope of the investigation, it is alleged that a separate organization was created within the structure to track members and individuals considered to be dissidents. This structure, referred to in the file as the "Furkan Intelligence Organization" (FİT), is alleged to have monitored people who wanted to leave the group or who criticized the management.

The allegation that data regarding the family life, private life, and personal information of the tracked individuals was collected and transferred to the organization's managers was also reflected in the investigation file.

It is claimed that the collected information was later used in disciplinary practices within the organization, and that some members were interrogated in so-called courts.

"WE BROUGHT THEM TO THEIR KNEES BY EXPOSING SLEEPER CELLS"

According to one of the allegations in the file, a member named N.A., who criticized the organization's activities and the reasons for Kuytul's arrest while Alparslan Kuytul was in prison, was taken in for questioning.

It is alleged that N.A. was interrogated by a committee that included Semra Kuytul and was asked to renounce their thoughts. It is further claimed that the individual was then forced to kneel within the community.

It is noted that in a post on her social media account following the incident, Semra Kuytul used the phrases "We brought them to their knees by exposing sleeper cells" and that this post was included in the investigation file as evidence.

ALLEGATIONS THAT CRITICS WERE TARGETED

The investigation file alleges that some individuals who criticized Alparslan Kuytul were also targeted within the organization.

It is claimed that H.K., who expressed criticisms by sending a letter to Kuytul, and G.K., who was stated to be responsible for the European organization, were targeted in meetings and social media broadcasts, and were subsequently expelled from the group.

The allegation that S.Ç., who reportedly had a financial dispute with Kuytul, was discredited after a meeting is also included in the file.

ALLEGATIONS REGARDING PUNISHMENT METHODS

The testimonies in the file allege that various sanctions were applied to individuals who were claimed not to have followed the rules set within the organization.

While it is alleged that some members faced punishments such as being silenced, standing guard, and having their money cut, it is also claimed that "falaka" (bastinado) was used as a more severe sanction.

It is alleged that some individuals considered to be dissidents were punished by a special group. According to the testimonies in the file, this group, which is stated to consist of 7-8 people, would approach the targeted individuals and use phrases such as "The Hodja Efendi has signed your death warrant, he has given up on you," and it is alleged that they beat some individuals.

The investigation file also states that there are testimonies regarding Alparslan Kuytul beating some managers within the community.

ALLEGATION OF KIDNAPPING IN THE FILE

Another part of the investigation includes allegations that the organization resorted to criminal acts to increase its financial power.

The file also includes allegations that the organization resorted to mafia methods to obtain financial gain and was involved in kidnapping acts.
