A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new complex that the Menzil community plans to build in the Yeniköy neighborhood of Bursa's Orhangazi district. It was reported that the ceremony, held on October 22, was attended by community leader Muhammed Saki Elhüseyni and that a large crowd gathered in and around the area.
The project has moved to the construction phase with the ceremony held in the area where excavation and ground preparation work had been ongoing for some time. According to information previously reflected in the public domain, the complex is planned to be built on approximately 168 decares of land.

It is stated that the project will serve as a new major campus in addition to the community's existing facilities in Adıyaman and Istanbul. The crowd at the ceremony area and the tents set up were also reflected in aerial footage.

DEMAND FOR EXPLANATION FROM NGOS
Following the ceremony, the Bursa Branch of the Kemalist Thought Association (ADD), the October 29 Women's Association, the United Public-Labor Confederation (Birleşik Kamu-İş), the Büro İş Union, the Eğitim-İş Union, the General Health-Labor Union (Genel Sağlık-İş), and the Bursa Branch of the New Generation Village Institutes Association issued a joint statement.
The statement recalled Atatürk's words, "The Republic of Turkey cannot be a land of sheikhs, dervishes, disciples, and followers. The truest, most genuine order is the order of civilization," and emphasized that the secular Republic must be protected and public administration kept free from the influence of religious structures.

The NGOs demanded clarification on allegations that the facility in Yeniköy is designed as the Marmara Region center for the Menzil structure. The joint statement requested that the purpose of the project, its scope of use, land-use decisions, zoning plans, building permits, and the legal grounds for other permits granted be announced to the public.
The statement also called for an explanation as to which institutions are auditing the project's compliance with zoning legislation, environmental regulations, and relevant legal provisions.
