Signal for regulation in the military service system

According to the report in Cumhuriyet, he argued that the paid military service system hinders citizenship applications, stating, "Conscripts claim that the fee for paid military service, which is over 6,400 euros, is too high and that they do not have the financial means to pay it."

The AKP deputy continued as follows:

"When they remain German citizens, such a military service obligation does not arise. In other words, they solve the issue themselves by not re-acquiring Turkish citizenship."

FEE REDUCTION WILL BE IMPLEMENTED

If the regulation announced by Üçüncü, who stated that they are planning a regulation regarding paid military service in foreign currency, is implemented, a fee reduction will be made for those living abroad who will perform paid military service in foreign currency.

Üçüncü responded, "Lowering the military service fee is on our agenda, but reducing the foreign currency fee to a certain amount could create a social debate. Because, a different fee for people in the country and a different fee for people abroad should not cause new debates."

Üçüncü noted that the Blue Card application, which grants certain rights other than voting and retirement to those who are not Turkish citizens, is also an important factor in the low number of applications.
