Sinan Oğan described his meeting with former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu before the presidential election.

Appearing as a guest on 'Farklı Açılar' with Kübra Par, broadcast on tv100, Sinan Oğan recounted his meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu before the presidential election.

Oğan stated, "I asked Kılıçdaroğlu, 'In an election we win by a narrow margin, and with the parliament not behind us, how will we govern this country?' He said to me, 'We won't be able to govern.'"

"I have been in Ankara for 1 year. There is no country in the world I haven't been to. I lived abroad for 10 years. For example, I went to England. Some think that I supported Mr. Erdoğan in the second round and that I started seeing the world then.

For 1 year, I dealt with threats directed at my children and my family. We had to come under state protection. Didn't FETÖ members threaten me? Didn't CHP supporters? I was threatened by the troll army of an opposition mayor.

I was threatened by PKK sympathizers, FETÖ sympathizers, and social media gunslingers who pass themselves off as democrats on social media, some of whom pose as CHP supporters or see themselves as close to the CHP, and some of whom carry the label of journalist.

"I SENT WORD TO ERDOĞAN"

On the night of the first round of elections, I sent word to Mr. Erdoğan. I said, 'Do not attempt to turn 49.5 into 50. Do not be the cause of this country winning in the first round by a very weak and very small margin during this economic crisis.' Do you know what this meant? A Turkey where there are controversies. Did he win or not? I said that what matters is for a strong government to govern the country.

There was a lot of back and forth that evening. I am not saying they were making such a move. I warned them, I said my priority in this country is that we must produce a strong government.

I saved this country from entering a crisis. I had such a burden on my shoulders. If we had supported Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu that day, he had already lost by 5 points in the first round.
