Sinem's killer caught while setting up a camping tent in Sinop
Ali Eren Somun, who murdered his wife Sinem Topaloğlu—with whom he was in the process of divorcing—with a firearm in the Beşikdüzü district of Trabzon and wounded a neighborhood watchman in the leg as he attempted to intervene, was caught by police teams in Sinop, where he had fled after the incident, while setting up a tent.
Ali Eren Somun, who was learned to be in the process of divorcing his wife Sinem Topaloğlu in the Beşikdüzü district of Trabzon, had fled on a motorcycle after shooting the young woman with a handgun and wounding neighborhood watchman Emrah Erata in the leg as he intervened in the incident. As a result of the extensive search operations launched, the suspect's trail was found in Sinop.
Somun, who was determined to be trying to set up a camping tent in a rural area near the Sinop city center, was caught and taken into custody in an operation organized by police teams.
It was reported that the suspect would be handed over to the Homicide Bureau of the Trabzon Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch after his initial processing.
