Singer İlyas Yalçıntaş arrested

A new operation was carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command following allegations that suspects known to the public as artists, actors, businesspeople, and venue operators were using drugs and stimulants, facilitating drug use, or providing premises for such activities.

In the operation conducted to apprehend the suspects, famous singer Sıla Gençoğlu, İlyas Yalçıntaş, Mehmet Fatih Aksoy, Ateş İnce, Şefik Ömer Dolman, Aybüke Aldere, Ayşe Nur Balcı, İrem Haznedar, and Öner Faruk Işık were taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.

The 12 suspects, whose interrogations were completed at the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command and who included famous names such as singers Sıla Gençoğlu and İlyas Yalçıntaş, were referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine to have blood and hair samples taken. Following the testing procedures, the 12 suspects were referred to the courthouse to have their statements taken by the prosecutor's office.

Arrest request for İlyas Yalçıntaş and 4 suspects

Suspects Mehmet Fatih Aksoy and Hazal Eylem İpek Şafak were released following their procedures at the gendarmerie and the Council of Forensic Medicine. Among the suspects referred to the courthouse, Ayşenur Balcı, Ömer Faruk Işık, Şefik Ömer Dolma, Orhan Yıldız, and famous singer İlyas Yalçıntaş, who was found to have a precision scale in his home, were referred to the duty magistrate's court with a request for 'arrest'. Following the completion of their interrogations by the court, suspects İlyas Yalçıntaş, Ayşe Nur Balcı, Orhan Yıldız, and Şefik Ömer Dolman were arrested and sent to prison. Suspect Öner Faruk Işık was released under judicial control conditions. Meanwhile, it was learned that the court proceedings for some of the other suspects are still ongoing.
