In the statement made by Şişli Municipality, it was noted that reports and posts have been circulating on social media claiming that meal support in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education has been stopped by Şişli Municipality, and the following statements were included:

"First of all, we would like to state that as Şişli Municipality, no meal distribution has been carried out in any of our schools; however, meal support is provided to families in need in neighborhoods outside of schools. This practice was stopped before Deputy Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen was appointed. With Ertürkmen taking office, instructions were given to begin providing food support to families in need. We kindly request that our public does not give credence to such provocative news and posts."
