Snow depth exceeds 30 centimeters on Bolu Mountain
Due to the snowfall affecting Bolu Mountain, one of Turkey's most important transit routes, the snow depth has exceeded 30 centimeters.
Snowfall has intensified on Bolu Mountain, known as the road connecting Istanbul to Anatolia.
Due to the precipitation, the snow depth has reached 30 centimeters in the Bakacak, Karanlıkdere, and Seymenler locations.
Although snow clearing operations are continuously carried out by General Directorate of Highways teams, the impact of the snow is still felt on the road due to the ongoing precipitation.
While traffic teams are conducting inspections in the region, heavy vehicles are having difficulty using the route.
To prevent any negative incidents, the road is closed to heavy vehicle traffic every 90 minutes and is reopened following snow clearing operations.
