Snowfall has been affecting the Sevindikli area of the Körfez district on the Northern Marmara Motorway, where the air temperature is measured at 2 degrees.
Drivers are proceeding with caution on the road, where transportation is experiencing occasional disruptions due to the snowfall. Highway teams, standing by on the motorway, are carrying out snow removal operations.
On the other hand, the snowfall, which began intermittently in the higher parts of the city in the morning hours, increased in intensity in the evening.
Snow removal teams established within municipalities are conducting salting and snow plowing operations in the higher parts of Kocaeli.
Drivers are frequently warned to be more cautious against precipitation and icing.
