Some roads in Kadıköy to be closed to traffic starting at 16:00
The Istanbul Police Department has announced that some roads in Kadıköy will be temporarily closed to traffic for reasons of public order and safety.
The Traffic Inspection Branch of the Istanbul Police Department has issued a statement regarding traffic regulations to be implemented in Kadıköy. Accordingly, as part of measures taken to ensure public order and safety, some roads will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 16:00 on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The statement reported that Kurbağalıdere Street in the direction of Kadıköy starting from Şair Sururi Street, Söğütlüçeşme Street, Rıhtım Street, Albay Faik Sözdener Street, and Mahmut Baba Street will be temporarily closed to traffic.
It was stated that drivers will be directed to Orgeneral Şahap Gürler Street, Mühürdar Street, Moda Street, Kuşdili Street, Dr. Esat Işık Street, Serasker Street, Taşköprü Street, Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Street, Acıbadem Street, and Karakolhane Street.
Authorities warned drivers to use alternative routes to avoid congestion in the area.
