It has been learned that the wife, son, and daughter of Sözcü newspaper columnist Nedim Türkmen, who was staying at the hotel with his family, lost their lives in the fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya. Journalist İsmail Saymaz announced the news via his social media account. He stated that in the fire that occurred during the night, the tragic news was that Türkmen's family members also lost their lives.

WHO IS NEDİM TÜRKMEN?

Nedim Türkmen, one of the former presidents of the Orduspor Club, was born on May 1, 1966, in Ordu. After graduating from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Ankara University, he completed his master's and doctorate degrees at the same university.

Türkmen, who taught finance and tax law at Ankara University, has been teaching Public Finance at the Marmara University School of Banking and Insurance since 2004. He is also the founder and owner of an Independent Audit and Sworn-in Certified Public Accountancy Joint Stock Company. He was married and a father of three children.

Elected as the President of the Orduspor Club by receiving 116 votes at the Orduspor congress held on June 1, 2009, Türkmen ended Orduspor's 26-year longing for the Süper Lig in the second year of his tenure. He drew great attention by bringing the world-famous coach Hector Cuper to lead the team.
