SP Chairman Arıkan: Relegation should be abolished this season
Saadet Party (SP) Chairman Mahmut Arıkan stated that many club presidents and players have been implicated in match-fixing allegations, making it impossible for the leagues to be registered fairly, and declared, "Relegation should be abolished this season."
The statement made by SP Chairman Mahmut Arıkan on social media is as follows:
"Clean football, fair management! It is not possible for the leagues, which have been overshadowed this season by match-fixing allegations involving many club presidents and players, to be registered fairly.
In an environment where two clubs are managed by the same company and club presidents are mentioned in match-fixing investigations, one cannot speak of 'sporting competition.'
This situation, which is clearly contrary to UEFA and TFF regulations, should not be ignored.
Starting with our Kayserispor, relegation should be abolished this season, including in the lower leagues, and the leagues should be re-registered on the basis of justice."
