Spain's amphibious assault ship arrives in Istanbul
The Spanish Navy's amphibious assault ship Juan Carlos I (L 61) has anchored at Sarayburnu Port. The ship is known to have a 202-meter-long flight deck.
The Spanish Navy's 231-meter-long, 27,000-gross-ton multi-purpose amphibious assault ship reached Istanbul today after entering the Dardanelles Strait yesterday.
The ship, accompanied by tugboats from the Directorate General of Coastal Safety, anchored at Sarayburnu Port.
The Spanish ship, which is likened to the Turkish Naval Forces' TCG Anadolu, was also photographed by citizens.
The ship, which has a 202-meter-long flight deck, features 8 landing spots for medium-sized helicopters and 4 landing spots for heavy helicopters.
