The Swedish-based music platform Spotify has responded to allegations regarding its music charts in Turkey. The company stated that it places great importance on its music programming and helps listeners discover millions of new artists worldwide.

Spotify stated that recent allegations directed at its editors and music team do not reflect the truth. It also emphasized that it continues to cooperate within the scope of the ongoing investigation by the Turkish Competition Authority.

In Turkey, some artists had reacted to the platform over allegations such as the lack of clarity in the criteria for creating Spotify charts, censorship, and bribery. It had also been claimed that bot-generated stream inflation was taking place. Among the artists who expressed their reactions are names such as Aydilge, Ferhat Göçer, and Oğuzhan Koç.

Spotify issued the following statement: "As Spotify, we take great care in our music programming and help listeners discover millions of new artists worldwide.
