CHP Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın, who was alleged to be joining the AKP, has broken his silence on the matter.

Despite this statement by Akın, the transfer allegations continued. Speaking to Halk TV, Akın said, "I am in the CHP, I am in my party," categorically denying the allegations. 

Akın issued a call, saying, "I recommend that you listen to my speech at the opening of the municipal council meeting at 14:00."
