Statement from AKP official regarding the Şişli City Restaurant closed after trustee appointment: 'The reason for it remaining closed is the CHP'

AKP Deputy Chairman Demir, in a post on his social media account X, said,

"We are watching with astonishment and care the events in Şişli, the slanders and lies spread over this, and the perception campaign being conducted.

The truth about the closed City Restaurant in Şişli is this:

It was closed by the CHP itself on March 19 because the CHP-led Şişli Mayor did not hold a tender while in office, and therefore there were no materials to cook food."

Sharing the Şişli Municipality's statement on the matter, Demir added,

"The source and cause of the problem is the incompetence of the CHP Municipality. As the AK Party, we do not desire for even the smallest service provided to our nation to be interrupted.

The Şişli City Restaurant will be reopened for service in the near future.

I wish you had spent the time and the nation's resources that you spent on creating false perceptions and manipulating people on serving the nation instead," he stated.

REOPENING FOR SERVICE

The trustee appointed to the Şişli Municipality made the following statement:

"The material and personnel planning processes necessary for the reopening of the two city restaurants and one mobile restaurant in Şişli, which have been closed since 19.03.2025 on the grounds that the materials used in the City Restaurants could not be supplied on time, have been completed.

Our restaurants will begin serving our citizens again starting from Monday, 07.04.2025. We are working to ensure that our Şişli receives the service it deserves in the proper way."
