Statement from Ercan Saatçi's wife: 'We have no information, our lawyer is waiting'

As part of an investigation launched centered on the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), numerous individuals, including İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, were taken into custody. 

One of those names was artist Ercan Saatçi. 

Despite hours passing since the detention procedure, no clear information has been obtained regarding the reason for Saatçi's detention. 

'OUR LAWYER IS ALSO WAITING'

Saatçi's wife, Eda Tokcan, whom 12punto reached, said, "We have no information regarding the detention process." 

Tokcan stated, "Since we have no information in hand, we cannot share it with you either. Our lawyer is also waiting." 

WHO IS ERCAN SAATÇİ? 

Born in Istanbul in 1968, Saatçi began his music career at a young age and became known for his contributions to pop and rock music. Playing an important role in the rise of pop music in Turkey in the 1990s, the artist achieved great success with projects such as Grup Vitamin and İzel-Çelik-Ercan, which he formed with Ufuk Yıldırım. He also contributed to the albums of many artists as a songwriter and composer.

In addition to his musical career, Saatçi has also worked as a producer and radio-TV programmer, participating in various media projects. Standing out more with his producer identity in the music industry in the 2000s, the artist continued to contribute to music through various television programs and projects.
