Statement from Görür regarding the earthquake in Çankırı! Ilgaz had been shaken
Seismologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated that the earthquake that occurred in the Ilgaz district of Çankırı took place on the North Anatolian Fault (NAF) and said, "I hope it has not caused any damage."
Seismologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made the following statements following the earthquake that occurred in Çankırı.
Prof. Dr. Görür said, "Friends, an earthquake occurred in Cömert/Ilgaz, Çankırı. The earthquake is on the NAF and in the region where the normal fault extending between Kırıkkale and Çankırı approaches the NAF. The magnitude of the earthquake is 4.7. I hope it has not caused any damage. Get well soon."
Stating that the earthquake occurred on the North Anatolian Fault and had a magnitude of 4.7, Görür did not provide information regarding potential damage.
