Statement from Isparta Governor's Office on accident: 5 dead, 25 injured

In a statement issued by the Isparta Governor's Office, it was reported that a traffic accident occurred around 18:50 on the Isparta-Konya D330 Highway, within the administrative borders of Bağıllı village in the Gelendost district, when the driver of a midibus lost steering control, causing the vehicle to overturn into a garden on the side of the road.

The statement noted, "In the accident, 5 of our citizens out of a total of 30 passengers on the vehicle lost their lives at the scene, and 25 of our citizens, 5 of whom are in serious condition, were injured.

Our injured have been transferred to hospitals in our Gelendost, Yalvaç, and Eğirdir districts and are receiving treatment. Following the report of the accident, our health, gendarmerie, police, AFAD, and fire department teams arrived at the scene immediately, and the necessary interventions were carried out promptly.

We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives, and patience and condolences to their families and loved ones; we wish a speedy recovery to our injured citizens," the statement read.
