Karabük University has issued a statement regarding the 'Mpox' (monkeypox) virus, which is prevalent in Africa and has also been detected in Europe. The statement announced that the situation is being closely monitored following the declarations by the World Health Organization.

While the Mpox virus, which has been seen on the African continent and led the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare a "global health emergency," has also been detected in Sweden and Pakistan, the Ministry of Health has announced that no cases have been seen in Turkey yet.
STATEMENT FROM KARABÜK UNIVERSITY
A statement on the matter came from Karabük University. The statement reported that international students, like all other students, are being meticulously monitored against any situation that could threaten public health, and that, as in the past, actions are being taken in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and relevant institutions.
The statement issued by the Rectorate noted that Karabük University always acts with a sense of responsibility to protect its students, staff, and the public against all kinds of risks, especially health-related ones.
The statement, which conveyed that measures are being taken meticulously in coordination with the relevant state institutions, noted that the process is being closely followed in line with the latest statements and developments by the World Health Organization.
Emphasizing that they are acting in coordination with relevant official institutions such as the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Health Directorate, and the General Directorate of Public Health, the statement included the following: "Our international students, like all our other students, are being meticulously monitored against any situation that could threaten public health, and as in the past, we are acting in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and relevant institutions. As Karabük University, we are taking the necessary precautions in this regard in coordination with the relevant units, and we show great sensitivity in protecting the health of our members, students, and our public."
