Statement from Kent Gıda! Toblerone chocolates are being recalled

Kent Gıda has announced that it has decided to issue a recall due to an incident involving Toblerone chocolate, which is imported from Switzerland and sold in Turkey. In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding the matter, it was stated that an incident leading to foreign plastic material contamination was detected in the Toblerone Milk 100g product.

The statement emphasized that the recall decision only covers the product in question and does not affect other products. It was stated that this measure taken by Kent Gıda is aimed at protecting product safety and consumer health.

The statement from Kent Gıda included the following:

"As Kent Gıda Maddeleri Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş., the safety of our consumers and the quality of our products are our top priority. Following complaints from a few of our consumers, we contacted the production facility in Switzerland and requested an investigation and quality assessment. As a result of the investigation and quality assessment, it has been confirmed that a isolated incident occurred in our Toblerone Milk 100g product with lot number OOY4033553, leading to foreign plastic material contamination. We would like to state that the source of the contamination has been identified and corrective measures have been taken immediately to prevent it from recurring."

In an additional statement, it was noted that the recall does not affect other Mondelez International or Toblerone products. Kent Gıda stated, "We hereby inform you that we are currently recalling the products with the aforementioned lot information from all our customers and dealers, collecting them for destruction, and have contacted the relevant public institutions."
