MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız made an assessment regarding the Constitutional Court's (AYM) second violation and retrial ruling concerning Gezi Park trial convict Tayfun Kahraman.
Responding to journalists' questions at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) following his party's group meeting, Yıldız was reminded that the reasoning for the AYM's decision had been published in the Official Gazette.
Regarding the decision, Yıldız stated, "It ruled for a retrial, meaning it issued a violation ruling and said 'a retrial is necessary'; there is nothing to discuss about this."
Tayfun Kahraman had filed a second individual application due to the failure to fulfill the requirements of the AYM's previous violation ruling. The General Assembly of the AYM had unanimously decided on a new violation and retrial on April 2, 2026.
The reasoning for the aforementioned decision has also been published in the Official Gazette.
