Statement from Minister Göktaş regarding the verdict in the Narin Güran murder case
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated regarding the verdict in the Narin Güran murder case, "No verdict can bring back our daughter Narin, a child of Turkey, but the sentences given to the defendants have brought some relief to our hearts."
In a statement on her social media account, Göktaş noted that they had promised as a Ministry to closely follow the process to ensure that those responsible for the death of Narin, whose pain has scorched hearts, would be punished in the harshest way possible, and that they have fulfilled this promise with determination.

I thank our lawyers who defended Narin's rights with great devotion and effort throughout this process and ensured that justice was served for Narin."
