The four-member Böcek family lost their lives due to poisoning after falling ill at the hotel where they were staying in Fatih following a meal in Beşiktaş. First the two children, then the mother, and finally the father, Böcek, lost their battle for life.
While the investigation into the poisoning tragedy in which the Böcek family lost their lives continues, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu made a statement.
While the question of whether there was any medical negligence in the initial intervention provided to the family created uncertainty, Minister Memişoğlu announced that no issues were identified in the treatment administered.
Memişoğlu stated, "Both hospitals are adequate hospitals. They performed the necessary interventions. We are conducting an investigation just in case. We do not think there was any deficiency, but we are still conducting an investigation. The investigation is ongoing."
