A teacher at Prof. Ali Kemal Yiğitoğlu Middle School in Istanbul's Sarıyer district was subjected to violence by a parent.
While the parent who committed the violence was referred to judicial authorities, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made a statement regarding the incident via his X account.
In his statement, Tekin expressed his condemnation of the violence. Tekin's post is as follows:
"I condemn the acts of violence against our colleagues who work with devotion for our children, and I share with our esteemed colleagues and the public that, as the Ministry of National Education, we will follow the administrative and judicial processes regarding incidents of violence against teachers.
I hope that these tragic incidents will not happen again and that our educational family will continue their work in peace and security"
