Statement from Minister Tunç regarding the armed attack at Çağlayan Courthouse

Turkey was shaken again today by an attempted armed attack at the Çağlayan Courthouse.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a statement regarding the armed attack at the Çağlayan Courthouse.

Minister Tunç said the following:

"I strongly condemn the armed attack targeting the security checkpoint in front of the Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse.

I thank our heroic police officers who prevented the treacherous attack and neutralized the two suspects. I wish a speedy recovery to our police officers and citizens who were injured in the attack.

The judicial investigation initiated by our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident is continuing in a multi-faceted manner."
