Statement from Mustafa Sarıgül! His son Emir Sarıgül had been summoned to testify
CHP member Mustafa Sarıgül has made a statement regarding his son, former Şişli Deputy Mayor Emir Sarıgül, who was summoned to testify as a 'witness' in the terror investigation launched into the CHP-run Şişli and Sarıyer municipalities.
As part of the terror investigation launched this morning into the CHP-run Şişli and Sarıyer municipalities, CHP member Mustafa Sarıgül's son, former Şişli Deputy Mayor Emir Sarıgül, was summoned to testify as a "witness." A statement came from Mustafa Sarıgül regarding his son being summoned to testify.
Sarıgül stated, "My son is also a citizen of the Republic of Turkey. All citizens are equal before the law."
Sarıgül used the following expressions in his statement:
"My son is also a citizen of the Republic of Turkey. All citizens are equal before the law. He is obligated to answer all the questions asked by the honorable prosecutor. My son has no special privileges over any other citizen, and he never will."
