Statement from Özlem Zengin regarding claims she was not included in the AKP MKYK
AKP Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin responded to claims that she could not enter the party administration by citing the AKP's bylaws.
The AKP is holding its highly anticipated 8th Ordinary Grand Congress at the Ankara Sports Hall.
At the congress, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan determined his new A-Team.

It was noted that the name of AKP Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin was not on the list leaked before the congress. It was claimed that Zengin could not enter the AKP administration.
As the situation became a topic of discussion on social media, Zengin issued a statement.
In a post on her Twitter account, Zengin stated, "According to our AK Party bylaws, the TBMM Party Group Chair and Group Deputy Chairs are natural members of the MYK and MKYK."
