Statement from pro-government Sabah, which 'announced' court decision in advance
Pro-government newspaper Sabah, which published the arrest decision regarding Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar and the house arrest decision regarding Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere before the court did, issued a statement after the backlash, claiming it was "misunderstood by our editor."
While operations against CHP-run municipalities continue unabated, house arrest was recently ordered for Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, and an arrest warrant was issued for Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar.
Sabah newspaper, which is close to the government, announced the decisions regarding Karalar and Tutdere before the court, and deleted the tweet where it shared the news following the backlash.

“OUR EDITOR MISUNDERSTOOD”
Pro-government Sabah made a statement regarding the issue.
In the statement made by the newspaper, it was stated as follows:
"While the investigation process regarding Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar and Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere was being followed today, the breaking news regarding the sentences requested by the prosecutor's office for Karalar and Tutdere was misunderstood by our editor; the sentences requested by the prosecutor's office were perceived as a decision taken by the court, and unfortunately, due to the heat of the news, the sentences requested by the prosecutor's office were shared on our social media accounts as 'Karalar arrested, house arrest for Tutdere.'
As soon as our editor's mistake was noticed, the social media post was deleted.
The editor's erroneous reflex regarding the breaking news unfortunately led to this result.
However, since we regretfully see that the issue is being deliberately distorted on social media, we felt the need to make this statement."
