Statement from terrorist organization KCK regarding the treacherous attack on the Turkish flag: 'It is a provocation and sabotage'

An attack on the Turkish flag was carried out by supporters of the terrorist organization SDG/YPG at the Qamishli-Nusaybin border. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 14 people have been detained in connection with the attack in which the Turkish flag was taken down.

While public reaction to the scandalous incident continues, a statement has come from the terrorist organization KCK.

In a written statement issued by the so-called co-presidency of the KCK executive council, it was stated: “The taking down of the Republic of Turkey's flag is a provocation. Based on this provocation, hostility toward Kurds has been escalated. It is understood that the targeting of our movement, the DEM Party, and the Kurds following the provocation was done for a specific purpose.”

The statement continued with the following remarks:

"It is noteworthy that this provocation was carried out simultaneously with attacks against Kurds within the borders of Syria. This incident is a sabotage carried out to break social support.”
