The following statement was made by the Ministry of National Defense regarding the air operation conducted:
"Air operations were carried out on January 13, 2024, at 00:30 against terrorist targets in the Metina, Hakurk, Gara, and Qandil regions in northern Iraq, as well as in northern Syria. With the air operations conducted, 29 targets consisting of caves, bunkers, shelters, and oil facilities used by the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ), which are assessed to have contained terrorists at the leadership level, were destroyed."
