Statement from the Ministry of National Defense regarding the agreement between jihadist HTS and the terrorist organization SDF

Ministry of National Defense sources have issued a statement regarding the agreement signed between the new Syrian administration under the control of jihadist HTS and the terrorist organization SDF.

MSB sources stated, "As Turkey, our determination in the fight against terrorism continues. We will observe how the reached agreement is implemented and its reflections on the ground."

As Turkey, our determination in the fight against terrorism continues; there is no change in our expectations for the cessation of terrorist activities in Syria, the laying down of arms by terrorists, and the removal of foreign terrorists from Syria, nor in our commitment to ensuring Syria's territorial and political integrity.

Furthermore, our Military Attaché, who has begun his duties in Syria, will be received by the Syrian Minister of Defense today. As we have previously stated to you, a military delegation from our Ministry will visit Syria in the coming days."
