Statement from THY regarding 'flight delays'

Turkish Airlines (THY) Press Consultant Yahya Üstün made a statement regarding the delays occasionally experienced in THY flights in a post on the social media platform X.

Üstün included the following statements in his post:

Our flag carrier airline, which always focuses on passenger satisfaction, is organizing additional flights to meet the increased demand throughout the holiday period.

Despite all our efforts to ensure our flights depart on time, due to current meteorological effects and especially the airspace congestion experienced in Europe, slot restrictions are being applied to our flight departures, which can occasionally cause delays.

Our authorized teams are actively working to minimize the process and are reaching out to our passengers in a timely manner regarding the current status of their flights. During this extremely busy holiday traffic, we wish our passengers pleasant flights as we strive to carry out their journeys without compromising the quality of Turkish Airlines in the slightest, and we congratulate them on their Eid al-Adha.
