Statement from Yeniden Refah Party's Kılıç following MYK meeting

Making a statement after the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting at his party's Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, Kılıç said that they have decided as a party to dedicate more time than ever to Istanbul and to visit every corner of the city.

Kılıç stated that starting tomorrow, they are launching organized efforts under the leadership of Chairman Fatih Erbakan in preparation for the possibility of an early general election.

Emphasizing that there are important issues at the forefront of Turkey's agenda, Kılıç continued as follows:

"Turkey no longer has the strength to withstand the high tension caused by the current presidential system unique to us. This system, which is the cause of the problems, has condemned Turkey to hypertension in both the economy and politics. It does not seem possible for this system, which is the source of all problems including the economic crisis and high inflation, to produce solutions. It is no longer possible to maintain either the system or the coalition. An early general election is at the door. The solution is to open the door to the early election that is at the door."

Arguing that the appointment of trustees to replace removed mayors lacks a legal basis, Kılıç said, "Unfortunately, this difficult agenda has been draped like a shawl over the cost of living and financial hardship. It is clear that the government's greatest skill is changing the agenda. Turkey's priority agenda is hunger and poverty. For months, the minimum wage has been below the hunger threshold. The minimum wage should be 35 thousand liras in the new year. The lowest pension should also be adjusted according to the minimum wage."
