Statement on allegations of dialysis treatment using deceased patients
The Ministry of Health stated regarding reports that dialysis treatments were being performed using deceased patients at Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Medicine, "Investigations conducted by the Ministry of Health, the Social Security Institution (SGK), and the Provincial Health Directorate have determined that dialysis treatments were not performed using deceased patients."
The Ministry of Health, in a statement regarding reports on some private television channels and social media claiming that "deceased dialysis patients registered at Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Medicine are still being shown as alive at private dialysis centers by a gang," stated, "As a result of the investigation conducted in the province by the Ministry of Health, the SGK, and the Provincial Health Directorate following a complaint filed in 2022, no medical irregularities were detected regarding the mentioned allegations, and it has been understood that dialysis treatment was not performed using deceased patients.
Furthermore, an investigation was conducted by our Ministry's inspector regarding the allegations, and no impropriety was detected," the statement included.
